Heli-ski bases
Powder South offers a choice of two heli-ski bases:
- El Ingenio is a stunning Chilean ‘hacienda’ located in the Maipo valley. Family run, you can enjoy delicious traditional Chilean food and hospitality as well as first-class boutique accommodation
- Stay at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in central Santiago for a cosmopolitan heli-ski experience. Enjoy the delights of downtown Santiago during the evenings, with the powder skiing wilderness a 20 minute heli flight away
Variety of trips
Powder South’s heli-skiing programme is based on the use of one helicopter with small groups of guests enjoying 7-day or 3-day trips as follows:
- The Classic programme: 12 guests in total skiing in 3 groups of 4 guests with one helicopter
- The Semi-Private trip is for 8 guests in total – skiing in 2 groups of 4 guests
- For the ultimate in flexibility and freedom, Private groups for a maximum of 4 people enjoy a dedicated helicopter and their own guide.
