A classic heli skiing experience in the original CMH area staying in a remote, fly-in lodge. The terrain is great for both first timers and seasoned heli skiers where Powder Introduction skiers can ski alongside advanced heli skiers and meet for lunch!
Runs are in the Purcell range offering plentiful skiing both above and below the tree line (between 945m - 3,050m). A fantastic variety of terrain can be found here in the glorious high alpine or superb trees which makes it suitable for all.

"The Bugs was the 1st CMH area to begin operating in 1965 and although the lodge looks quite different after 4 renovations, the beautiful Bugaboo Range & Spires remain the same. There is nothing like your 1st week of heli-skiing and I hope that we can share that with you."
Dave Cochrane, Bugaboo Area Manager
The following trips are available:
Our classic 3, 4, 5 or 7 day heli skiing trips are perfect for those confident off piste skiers going heli skiing for the first time or for seasoned heli skiers looking for the classic, remote lodge experience. Classic heli ski trips give you the opportunity to ski both open, high Alpine terrain as well as exhilarating trees in Canada’s mature, well-spaced forests in the regular 4 group set-up.
These trips are unique to CMH. The Powder Introduction programme is designed for piste skiers who do not have much experience of powder skiing. Skiing in a like-minded group of 10 skiers, your 2 mountain guides will help you to master deep powder skiing by giving you help with your technique and video analysis. By the end of the trip you will have the tools and technique to ski powder confidently. The Powder Masters programme is designed for experienced skiers who want to focus on skiing in a relaxed environment whilst enjoying the scenery, where the quality of the heli skiing is more important than the quantity!
Designed for Heli skiing parents and their children, these trips are the ultimate introduction to deep powder for the whole family. With children aged 12 – 17 going half price (with half the guaranteed vertical), you can share the fun and excitement of heli skiing with all of the family.
Fusion heli ski trips combine 4 days of heli skiing and 3 days of ski touring exploring the deep powder of British Columbia. Each day, weather conditions will be assessed to decide which days will be spent touring and which days will be heli skiing – giving you the optimal skiing experience on any given day. This offers the best of both worlds where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of ski touring where you earn your turns combined with the exhilaration and luxury of heli skiing.
A short helicopter flight in the morning will give you speedy access to the very best ski touring terrain. After that first lift you'll be ski touring for the rest of the day, working hard for those deep powder turns, making it all the more enjoyable! You will be in a group of ten guests and you will share the lodge with guests on the regular heli ski programme.
