A Ten Day Adventure

For the first 5 days you’ll head to the Hakuba Valley with your highly-qualified ski guide to explore the best backcountry terrain on offer. Hakuba is known for awesome powder snow and its more challenging terrain – short hikes take you into steep, expansive backcountry. With your guide you will access steeps, open bowls, gladed tree runs and Alpine zones often with little or no hiking needed. You can also do longer skinning sessions where you’ll walk up to 3 hours to get that longer descent.

Exploring the Myoko Kogan Region

The next three full days are spent in the Myoko Kogan region. One day will be skiing on Akakura Onsen, another day on free-ride Arai mountain and the final day spent in tiny Seki Onsen, a secret powder gem. On Arai mountain there are only 5 ski lifts and a handful of groomed trails to discover so you’ll explore the 11 backcountry-like, avalanche-controlled freeride zones.

Culture in the Capital

The final day you’ll take the bullet train back to Tokyo and have the evening in the vibrant capital, really soaking up the Japanese culture. If you want to add-on a couple of extra nights here it can be easily arranged.
