Best Powder Snow on Hokkaido Island

With your experienced and highly-qualified ski guide your first 5 days will be skiing the best terrain in central Hokkaido and Daisetsuzan National Park. You will explore the backcountry and free powder zones in Tomamu, Kamui, Asahidake and Furano itself.

Best Ride of Your Life

A single ropeway heads up the volcano Asahidake (and at 2,290 metres it is the highest in Hokkaido) providing unfettered access to terrain both above and below the tree line. Think waist-deep powder and longer runs if you’re willing to earn your turns a little, with short hikes to find the abundant fresh powder stashes.

Adventure Skiing in Iwanai

On Day 7, you’ll take the train from Furano to Otaru on Hakkaido’s north-western coast and have two full days adventure skiing in Iwanai. Discover the perfectly spaced old-growth birch trees, long (600m) vertical bowls with fast pitch, open powder runs and endless backcountry terrain with exquisite snowscapes. And, on every turn you get a view of the ocean.
