Best Heli Skiing In The World

As the title and introduction to this article have already suggested, we at Pure Powder are big fans of what helicopter skiing Canada has to offer. However, as long time operators in the industry, we have built up relationships and created helicopter skiing adventures all around the world. However, because we offer premium services, we are highly selective with our location choices. For us it is important that the destinations we send our clients are truly some of the best in the world.

As a global company, we are proud to present our clientele with ski packages that are truly global. Not only do we offer trips to Canada, but we can also arrange tours to Alaska if you are looking to ski in North America. For those looking to ski elsewhere, we have several options in Europe, including (but not limited to) Switzerland, France, Iceland and even Turkey.

For some unique and exciting variation, we can also arrange helicopter skiing trips to Chile in South America, a Southern-Hemisphere location for those looking to ski year-round. If you are looking to travel to the Far East, we can also plan a trip to Japan for you.

CMH Heli-Skiing

One of our most trusted partners in the Helicopter-Skiing industry is Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) Heli-Skiing. A truly experienced company that is among the few operators who have been in this industry longer than our Pure Powder team. With over sixty years of operating tours, they were a logical partner, who we knew would elevate our services for skiing in Canada to the next level.

CMH offers world-class guided heli-skiing tours in Canada. Today, they are the biggest heli-skiing and heli-hiking company in the world. Providing clients with access to 11 incredible destinations all across the Great-White North, which translates to a mind-boggling three million acres of skiable terrain.

Although their statistics and history are truly impressive, what makes CMH such a great partner to Pure Powder is their “Knowledge is Power” safety-first principles. Although both CMH and Pure Powder cater to thrill seekers out there, both our companies want to make the experience as safe as possible, especially for those trying it out for the first time.

CMH boasts an incredible safety infrastructure, composed of 150 guides who represent over 1500 years of combined experience. All guides are certified with either one or more of the following certifications: the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG), International Federation of Mountain Guides Association (IFMGA), or the Canadian Ski Guide Association (CSGA). With this level of oversight and ability, clients who book with CMH directly or with CMH through Pure Powder are ensured the safest trips possible.

Best Helicopter Skiing Canada

When it comes to helicopter skiing Canada, though, there is a uniqueness and sense of history that other places in the world simply can’t offer. Not only is it the home to this wonderful sport, but it also provides locals, visitors and tourists a chance to experience the heart of Canada like never before. Furthermore, the consistent snow conditions make it a trustworthy and reliable location for both new and experienced skiers.

At Pure Powder, we only want to work with partners who are as enthusiastic as us about helicopter skiing Canada. That is why we are excited to be able to partner with CMH Heli-Skiing. By working with them, we are able to provide customers with the best ski spots in Canada. Specifically, we offer unparalleled access to the greatest helicopter skiing spots in British Columbia.

Heli Skiing BC (British Columbia)

When considering a heli-ski tour in BC, experts like our CMH are most likely going to recommend either the Purcell Mountains or Revelstoke. Because Revelstoke will be discussed a little more below, let us focus our attention here on the Purcell and Selkirk mountain ranges.

This mountain range offers over 2000 square kilometres of world-class skiing terrain. It is important to highlight that the area is not suited for beginner or intermediate skiers due to its elevation and terrain (about 50% trees to 50% alpine skiing routes), but it is still an incredible destination that provides strong advanced skiers with a challenge.

Although the range is better suited for experienced skiers, it does offer lots of flexibility with regards to the tours you can take, including 1,2 and 3 day trips. Our team at Pure Powder is also able to accommodate skiing parties for up to 16 skiers, divided into two groups of eight guests. Don’t worry if you can’t fill these groups yourself, as we will match you with other guests of a similar skill level, giving you the opportunity to meet fellow enthusiasts from all around the world.

Heli Skiing Revelstoke

In contrast to the Purcell and Selkirk mountain range, Revelstoke (often considered the snow capital of North America) offers skiers of intermediate level and above a completely different experience. Based in the town of Revelstoke, the skiing tours operating from this area take on a slower, more moderate pace and have the added benefit of the easily accessible town-based hotel for luxurious comfort after a day out on the snow.

Due to the pace and amenities available, Revelstoke is amongst our most popular heli-skiing destinations and offers group tours of about 11 guests, divided into three to four groups. In this way, we can provide a full day of action with clients typically getting an enormous eight to 12 runs in a day.

Helicopter Skiing Canada Packages

At Pure Powder, it is our mission to accommodate customers in whatever they need to have the best possible trip. In order to do this effectively, we offer several different packages, depending on what time of year you want to ski, how large a group you would like to be in, the duration of your trip and importantly, what pace or skill level you would like during your trip.

Taking all these critical factors into account, we offer the following packages (please note that this is not a comprehensive list of all our tours, and if you would like to find out more, feel free to visit our website and get all the information you will need):

Helicopter Skiing Canada: Classic Heli Skiing

For those who want an all-round experience, there is no better place to start than our classic tours. These take place in British Columbia and are comprised of groups generally between 10 and 11 guests. Your group will also be connected with the appropriate guide, who will provide the hidden ski spots and safety tips you need to have a great trip. For our classic tour, it is important to highlight that spots are booked individually in order to accommodate the group size.

Helicopter Skiing Canada: Private Heli Skiing

For a tour that is a little more luxurious and tailored to you, we recommend our private heli ski tours. Not only will you be provided with your own helicopter and guide, but your schedule for skiing is a lot more flexible and suited to your needs. This tour option is great for a party of four, but we can also accommodate larger groups at a number of our premier Canadian destinations. For those who want the freedom to choose when they ski, this is the best option.

Helicopter Skiing Canada: Relaxed Pace Heli Skiing

Whether you are a more mature guest or a beginner, we provide accommodating options for you, too. Our relaxed pace skiing tours are designed to slow things down, so you can enjoy the nature, environment and sights, not just the skiing. For this package, the groups are generally a bit smaller at around 9 people, but with a lot more supervision, as there are generally about three guides to a group. Although you may not complete as many runs as some of the other packages. This package is perfect for those who appreciate quality over quantity.

Helicopter Skiing Canada Prices

For our Helicopter Skiing Canada tours, we at Pure Powder focus on providing an expert balance between price and luxury. It goes without saying that a helicopter skiing adventure would most likely be a little pricier than your ski resort holiday, but for that, you receive a professional once-in-a-lifetime service, in parts of the world you have never skied in before.

Prices may vary due to several factors, including the location you choose, the package you pick, the time of year you would like to go skiing and the number of people you would like to bring along. However, our goal is not to break your bank but to provide you with a world-class service that meets your expectations. For those who would not like to book a whole package but rather book singular runs, we have options for you as well. For a comprehensive and accurate breakdown of our prices, give us a call at +44 (0)20 7736 8191 and request a quote from our friendly sales team. Visit our website for more information.
