The Original Heli Ski Lodge
The Bugaboos holds all the history of CMH – it’s where Hans Gmoser, the founder of CMH, began the heli ski operations back in the 60s – and it remains the most established CMH tenure. The lodge was built to optimise the stunning views of the surrounding granite spires and spilling glaciers. The rooftop hot tub has arguably one of the best views on the planet – and relaxing here after a day exploring the mountains is a real highlight of lodge life.
Great Variety of Terrain
The Bugaboos’ immensely varied ski terrain and selection of programmes on offer make it the perfect powder playground to suit everybody – from first timers to experienced skiers alike. The 1,017 sq km of skiable area is located the Purcell Mountains and sees an average annual snowfall of 12 metres.
Bugaboos Lodge Amenities
Sauna, steam room, rooftop hot tub, climbing wall, small gym, WiFi throughout the lodge, two guest computers, telephone, table tennis, pool table, shop, cross country track (skis and boots provided) and snowshoeing.
