This laidback hotel located in the small mountain village of Ayder is your base for any heli skiing adventures in Turkey. Ayder is based in the centre of the Kaçkar Mountain range which gives you direct access to the ski runs, with some runs ending in the village. The hotel has views of the surrounding mountains and river which runs alongside it, and it has its own helipad so getting to the powder couldn’t be easier.
Skiing in the Kaçkar Mountains
You will be heli skiing in the Kaçkar range which is located near the Black Sea in the northeast of Turkey. Guests have exclusive access to 5,000 km of terrain which are made up of a variety of Alpine runs. Big storms bring dumpings of powder so you can expect some deep powder skiing on a stable snowpack and, as heli skiing only started here in 2003, there is so much still to explore.
