Layering is Key
The best way to prepare for a variety of conditions and temperatures you may face when powder skiing is to go for a layering system. That way you can add or remove layers with ease to suit the conditions.
|Outerwear||Good quality windproof / breathable jacket and trousers with fastenings to keep snow out|
|Mid-layer||Warm mid layer such as down or Primaloft|
|Base-layer||Wicking base layer|
|Waterproof / breathable gloves|
|Good goggles which don’t steam up|
|Helmet that covers your ears|
|Casual clothes for after skiing|
|Comfortable clothes for morning stretch (eg. a tracksuit)|
|Swimwear for the hot tub/sauna and flip-flops to get there|
