Alaska has to be one of the most desired places to heli ski in the world, and we aren’t the only ones that think so.

Forbes have recently written an article saying that avid skiers are seeking out Alaska as the top place to heli-ski”

Alaska is famous for extreme skiing as the mountains are famed for steep couloirs and spines all in the open Alpine. This is an expert skiers’ playground as you will be skiing aggressive lines and skiing down from some of the smallest drop off points. It is definitely not for the faint hearted. Heli Ski programmes out here are all about being fast and flexible, as they operate in small groups of 4 guests plus a guide in an A-Star Helicopter.

To top it all off you will be extremely looked after by the heli ski operators. We work with either Chugach Powder Guides who are based out of Girdwood, which offer semi-private and private trips along with backup of resort skiing if you have a down day. We also work with Tordrillo Mountain Lodge, one of the top lodges in Alaska and as Forbes say “Tordrillo Mountain Lodge offers travelers the ultimate Alaska heli-ski adventures, complemented with remote, rustic-modern lodges, private cabins and luxury lifestyle amenities just a 40-minute flight from Anchorage”

If you want to read the rest of the article, you can do so here.

If you want to have a taste of what Alaska has to offer then do get in touch either by calling the office on 0207 736 8191 or email info@purepowder.com
